Site profile
How the operation fits Hancock's iron ore interests.
Operations
Roy Hill ore travels by private heavy-haul rail to a two-berth Stanley Point facility. Smaller mines use road trains and the multi-user Utah Point stockyards and berth.
Ownership
Stanley Point and the 344 km railway form part of Roy Hill; Utah Point is operated by Pilbara Ports Authority
Automation & technology
Integrated train control, stockyard management, conveyors, car dumping and shiploading link mine plans with customer cargoes and Port Hedland shipping windows.
Workforce context
Rail and port operations support drivers, controllers, maintainers, fixed-plant trades, planners, marine interfaces and shutdown crews across mine-to-ship logistics.
Financial context
Ownership matters when reading the numbers.
Hancock Prospecting is private and does not publish a complete standalone profit-and-loss statement for Port Hedland & Rail in the same way an ASX-listed operator reports segments. Roy Hill, the former Atlas portfolio and Hope Downs also have different ownership structures.
